Worship God Only

Scripture: “You shall have no other gods before me.” — Exodus 20:3

Reflection:

Whatever occupies your mind the most becomes your god. When you allow worries to dominate your thoughts, they can turn into idols—things that steal your attention from God. Anxiety and fear, if left unchecked, can take on a life of their own, consuming your peace and creating a cycle of unrest.

God calls you to break free from this bondage by placing your trust in Him. He sees your thoughts even when no one else does. He searches your heart for evidence of faith and rejoices when your mind turns toward Him. Choosing to focus on God’s presence, rather than your fears, brings freedom and peace.

Guard your thoughts diligently. Fill your mind with His truth and promises. As you make a habit of trusting in Him, you will find yourself drawing closer to His presence, where true peace and rest are found.

Prayer:

Lord, I surrender my worries to You. Help me to guard my thoughts and focus on Your presence instead of my fears. Strengthen my faith so that I trust You completely, knowing that You are always with me. Amen.
