When We Keep Messing Up

Scripture:

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

—1 John 1:9 (ESV)

Devotional Thought:

There are moments when we mess up—again. That same old sin, that same struggle, and the same voice whispering, “You’ll never change.” But here’s the truth: God isn’t surprised by your weakness. He doesn’t flinch when you fail. He invites you to come back every time.

Grace doesn’t mean we take sin lightly—but it does mean we don’t have to stay stuck in shame. The enemy wants you to hide. God wants you to come close. Every time you turn back to Him, He’s there—not just to forgive, but to cleanse, to restore, and to help you grow stronger.

Sanctification is a process. You may fall, but you’re not disqualified. You’re still chosen. Still loved. Still being transformed.

Reflection:

What’s the sin you keep struggling with? Instead of hiding it, bring it to God. Again. Let His grace meet you there and start fresh.

Prayer:

God, I’m tired of falling. I confess this to You—not just for forgiveness, but for freedom. Help me walk in the power You’ve already given me. I trust Your grace to change me. Amen.
