Don’t Go Back

Scripture:

"But now that you know God—or rather are known by God—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces?"

— Galatians 4:9

Devotional Thought:

Before Christ, we lived in patterns that kept us bound — to fear, to performance, to trying to be “good enough.” But when Jesus stepped in, He broke the chains. He gave us identity, freedom, and peace.

So why do we sometimes slip back?

Paul’s question still speaks today: “How is it you’re going back to what once held you?”

Freedom in Christ is too valuable to trade for religious routines or worldly patterns. If God brought you out of it, don’t return to it. You’re not who you used to be — and you don’t live there anymore.

Reflection:

What are some “old ways” God freed me from that I need to leave behind for good?
