Created for a Purpose

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” – Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV)

Devotional

Have you ever looked at a masterpiece—a beautifully crafted piece of art or an intricately designed garment—and marveled at the skill of the creator? That’s how God sees you. You are His workmanship, handcrafted by the Creator of the universe, uniquely designed with purpose and intention.

Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are not accidents; we were created in Christ Jesus for good works that God planned for us long before we even existed. This verse isn’t just about doing good deeds—it’s about walking in the life God has prepared for us, fully embracing the calling He has placed on our lives.

Often, we may struggle with feelings of inadequacy or question our worth. But the truth is, God has already determined that you are valuable, equipped, and capable. He has designed specific works for you to carry out—whether that’s serving others, using your gifts to glorify Him, or simply being a light in a dark world.

So, today, embrace your identity as God’s masterpiece. Seek His guidance and walk confidently in the good works He has prepared for you. When you do, you will find joy, purpose, and fulfillment, knowing that you are living out His divine plan.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for creating me with purpose. Help me to walk in the good works You have prepared for me. When I doubt my worth, remind me that I am Your masterpiece. Use my life for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
